Three H-CITI Projects to Strengthen Hyderabad’s Mobility Network

Hyderabad Infrastructure

Hyderabad is set to strengthen its urban mobility network with three major infrastructure projects under the H-CITI programme. With a combined cost of ₹242.72 crore, these projects aim to ease traffic congestion, improve connectivity and address key bottlenecks across southern Hyderabad and the Old City.

Key H-CITI Projects in Hyderabad

The projects focus on busy corridors and major junctions. As a result, they will support smoother traffic movement and make daily commuting more convenient.

1. Owaisi Flyover to Santosh Nagar Ramp

The left-arm down ramp from Owaisi Flyover to Santosh Nagar will create a more direct route for commuters. In turn, this connection can reduce traffic pressure on nearby roads and improve movement towards Santosh Nagar.

2. Hafeez Baba Nagar Grade Separator

The six-lane grade separator at Hafeez Baba Nagar Junction will improve traffic movement towards Balapur–Church Road. Moreover, it will allow vehicles to move through the busy junction more smoothly, helping reduce delays during peak hours.

3. Bandlaguda–Errakunta Flyover

The six-lane bi-directional flyover at Bandlaguda–Errakunta X Road will improve traffic flow at an important junction in southern Hyderabad. Additionally, the flyover will strengthen connectivity between key residential and commercial areas.

Improving Connectivity Across Hyderabad

Together, these three projects will strengthen connections between major residential, commercial and transport corridors. Furthermore, improved road links will support easier access towards Shamshabad Airport from several parts of the Old City.

Better junction management can also help commuters move more efficiently across these routes. Consequently, the projects can reduce congestion, improve travel convenience and support smoother vehicle movement.

Strengthening Hyderabad’s Urban Mobility Network

As Hyderabad continues to expand, the city needs stronger road infrastructure to support its growing population and economic activity. Therefore, these H-CITI projects can play an important role in improving everyday mobility.
