A new Vehicle Underpass (VUP) at My Home Avatar Junction in Cyberabad has opened to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion at one of the busy junctions connecting Hyderabad’s western growth corridors. The underpass is designed to improve U-turn movement and provide smoother connectivity towards Kokapet, Narsingi and the Financial District.
My Home Avatar Junction Traffic Challenges
My Home Avatar Junction experiences significant traffic movement, particularly during morning peak hours. Around 11,000 vehicles per hour approach the junction from the Nanakramguda side during peak periods.
Between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., nearly 33,000 vehicles pass through the junction. A significant share of this traffic involves U-turn movements, with around 25–30% of vehicles making U-turns during peak hours. This has contributed to delays and congestion around the junction.
New Vehicle Underpass to Improve Traffic Flow
The newly opened My Home Avatar Junction underpass is expected to divert U-turn traffic away from the main junction. By separating this movement from regular traffic, the VUP can help reduce waiting times and improve the overall efficiency of the intersection.
The infrastructure is particularly relevant for commuters travelling between Nanakramguda, Manikonda, Puppalaguda, Khajaguda, Kokapet and Narsingi.
Better Connectivity to Hyderabad’s IT and Financial Corridors
The location of My Home Avatar Junction makes it an important connection point for Hyderabad’s rapidly developing western corridor. Improved traffic movement at the junction could support easier access to major employment and commercial areas, including the Financial District and surrounding IT hubs.
With residential and commercial development continuing across Kokapet, Narsingi and nearby areas, efficient road infrastructure is becoming increasingly important for daily commuters.

The Vehicle Underpass is part of broader efforts to improve traffic management at My Home Avatar Junction. Additional U-turn arrangements are also being planned to further streamline vehicle movement and reduce conflicts at the main intersection.
